Vaults

AWS Backup > Backup Vaults

Where your backups are stored for a particular plan. You might have segregated backups for compliance or other reasons. We only need 1 for all customers.

Protected Resources

AWS Backup > Protected resources > Create on-demand backup

On Demand can be run from here.

You can also see your latest backups based volumes and instance ids

Pick a scheduled plan and apply to to your machines.

Reports and Audits

AWS Backup > Report plans > Create report plan

You can view the most recent images in the protected resources, but if you want an audit trail of backups, you can also create reports to be sent to S3 Buckets:
